The Key

Two years ago my mom and dad celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
I asked my mom what the key to a long lasting marriage was and she said...
Love, Respect and lots and lots of Patience...
I know my dad very well so I know exactly what she means Hee, hee, hee. Love you Dad.
Today is our 22nd Wedding Anniversary and I must say we're still living our Happily Ever After.
Great advice Mom and thanks for being an awesome role model.

Happy Anniversary Babe! Love you tons.

Creative Solutions

When one is limited in space one has to get a bit creative.
My new sewing space is quite petite. It's an awkward little room off the stair's landing. But that didn't stop me from trying to create a functional space.
A piece of wood big enough to go on top of the stairs, a little paint and voila! I have a cutting table that I can use whenever I'm sewing and put away easily behind the door when I'm not.
Good thing about it is that I can also use it as an ironing board. I made an ironing pad and matching hot iron holder from the fabric I had left from my sewing machine  chair makeover, here.
This sweet little pin cushion can easily be screwed on to the side so my pins are always handy. It was a gift from a very sweet cousin.

So there you have it.. What do you think?
So excited about checking off a couple more things from my list...Yay!

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
Wishing you all a beautifully creative day.

A Mother's Day Poem

My greatest role in life has been
one that has brought me joy within.

No other role has made me feel
quite so fulfilled and truly real.

Won't lie and say it's all been merry.
At times it's tough and even scary.

 But none-the-less my greatest role.
The one which makes my life so whole.

This special role is like no other
This special role is of a MOTHER.

Mother to a girl so sweet.
Whose love is my most dearest treat.

 (By: Me)

  Happy Mother's Day

to all those wonderful mothers out there.

It's been said that the day a woman becomes a mother is the day she truly understands and appreciates her own...It is so true. Thank you Mami for all your love, caring and sacrifice. I love you more than words can express.

A wish for you...

Star light, star bright,
First star I made last night,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have this wish I wish with all my might...

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.
