Petite Easter Vignette

We are only a few short days away from Easter...I can't believe how fast time is flying by. But before Easter comes and goes I wanted to share one more tiny vignette I put together in a cozy, little corner of our petite cottage.
Cute little bunnies everywhere...
I made this interchangeable wreath a couple of years ago and still love how it looks...You can read more about it here.
Also made the coffee filter flowers and decoupage egg. They are also previous year's craft projects. Sadly, this year I haven't had a chance to work on any Easter/Spring craft projects but I have been working on a sweet little gift for a friend...I will show you when it is all done. Until then...

Wishing you all a wonderful week.

Easter Spring 2014 Mantel

Finally!
Finally our weather is warming up, Yay!!...And finally I was in the mood for some Easter/Spring decorating. I know I'm a little behind but better late than never, right? :-) So here is were I started...at our mantel.
I made this banner a couple of years ago for the mantel but this year I thought I would try something a little different.
I really do like how it looks on the mirror.
The mantel was decorated with things I already had...
This little birdie is a secret key holder for the garden or porch but I think it's way too cute for the outside.
This is a real little nest I found abandoned out in the yard and the decoupage egg is a family craft from last year.
You don't know how long I've been wanting to put this cute little lantern out since I got it at a thrift shop. So excited I was finally able to display it.
No Easter/Spring vignette is complete without at least one cute little bunny :-)
I do hope this weather will stay...It's just been crazy lately...I will enjoy it while it lasts. Hope you are enjoying lovely Spring weather as well.

Thank you all for stopping by for a visit.

Act of Kindness

Hello My Sweet Friends!
This up coming May I will be celebrating my 7th Year Blogaversary...Wow, already?!  Ever since I started A Petite Cottage I have met many wonderful and sweet blogging friends. I have met kindred spirits and made many friends who have become like family to me. And it thrills me to bits that still today I keep making new, sweet blogging friends.
Today I wanted to share with you all a little something that happen a couple of days ago. I received a comment that just brightened up my whole day. Of course, all your sweet comments always brighten my day...but this one was from a brand new blogging friend. Her thoughtfulness and sweetness touched me beyond words. (You know who you are.) How someone can be so kind to a total stranger is just...Wow, amazing! I don't know how else to put it.
I have been having a few trials in my life lately and I have seriously considered shutting down A Petite Cottage...but this awesome act of kindness has made me reconsider it all. How could I walk away from something so wonderful, and not to mention so many dear friends that have given me nothing but joy for the past 7 years? I just can't. Thank you all so much for your continued support, care and love. I feel so very blessed. I love you all so very much.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Wishing you all a wonderfully blessed new week.

*Correction: I just noticed I made a mistake. This up coming May will not be my 7th year Bloggaversary. It will be my 5th year Bloggaversary...Oops!

Bright Idea

Have you ever had an idea that just won't stop tossing and turning in your head? Well I have, and this morning I finally decided it was time to go for it and just do it!
I have two of these beautiful Rachel Ashwell, Shabby Chic lamps from Target. Well, one I actually purchased at Target and this one I found at a thrift store. Unfortunately this one came without its original lampshade. So here is my dilemma...For a while now, I've been wanting to put both of them on my dresser but how could I make them match without having to go out and purchase another lampshade?
So here is my bright idea....Why not create a new and creative lampshade with things I already have. Like these items above.
And this is what I came up with.
Oooh, they are better than I imagined. I love how they turned out.
So what do you think?
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.
Wishing you all a beautiful and creative day.
