Crafty Wreath: Part 2

Happy Friday Everyone!

As promised, here is the second wreath I made out of pages of an old dictionary.

This wreath was a little faster and easier to make than the first one (see previous post). All I did was cut out leaf shapes from the pages and some from a bit of muslin fabric...Folded them in half to make a crease and hot glued them onto my wreath form. By the way, I got this idea while surfing the web...Wish I could remember where I saw it so that I may give proper credit...Sorry.

Thanks to everyone for all your sweet and kind comments on my last post. I had so much fun making these wreaths and love how they turned out. Some of you asked how I made the first one. Well in the next few days I'll be sharing a "How I Did It" post. Hope you come back and check it out.

Wishing you all a fantabulous weekend.

Crafty Wreath: Part 1

You've all probably seen all around Blogland these beautiful wreaths crafted from pages out of old books.

I just think they're sooo beautiful.

I couldn't wait to make one for myself.

I made my own version using an old and crafty technique I learned in kindergarten...Hee, hee, hee. I love how it turned out.

I was in the creative zone so I made another one using another technique. I'll be sharing that one in a future post. Also coming soon...My mirror and shutter project I mentioned in my last post. Stay tuned.

A Little Motivation...

Hi Everyone.

Lately I've been feeling a little unmotivated, uninspired and uncreative, arggg! I tend to have these little episodes once in a while and they drive me crazy...I think it might be a hormone thing...Hee, hee, hee. Thankfully though, I think it seems to be passing because finally yesterday I got a little motivated.

A couple of weeks ago I bought this wall decal at The Dollar Tree store, but hadn't put it up yet. (Sorry in advance about the next two dinning room is always so hard to photograph.)

I love wall decals! So easy to put up and it was only a dollar!

Hmmm, now that I think about it, I've been wanting to paint this framed mirror white, which by the way I got for 50 cents at a grage sale...Sweet! I've also wanted put up some white shutters on each side of it that I picked up at a thrift store ages ago.

Wait a minute...No...Yes...Maybe...Yes, I think it's a definite yes. I think my motivation and inspiration are coming back...Yay!!! Can't wait to get started on this project, well any project for that matter. Hee, hee, hee.

Wishing everyone a wonderful, inspiring and creative new week.

White Cuties

I love clearance items...especially when they're 70% off. Yippee!

Found these faux mercury glass cuties at Tar-jay.

They were clearing out all their Christmas stuff...

Can't believe no one had snatched them up....Lucky me, yay!

Today I'm linking up to Kathleen's "White Wednesday" over at her blog Faded Charm. If you love white you simply must go over for a visit and check out what other participants are sharing today.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit today.

Happy White Wednesday!

♫ All You Need Is Love♫

Hi Everyone.

Last week was my last week helping my sister out in her office and let me tell you, my hats off to her. She manages her very stressful and very, very, very busy office extremely efficiently. (I love you Big Sis.) She is one of the smartest and most hard working people I know and I learned so much working with her. I am truly thankful for the opportunity however, truth be told, I'm happy to be able to get back to my regular routine...

Anyway, although I haven't been able to get to any new projects, I thought I would share with you a project I worked on before Christmas...It was a Christmas gift for one of my nieces. I couldn't wait to show you, but I had to if I didn't want to ruin the surprise...just in case she was tuning in...:-)

She loves The Beatles and she loves purple, so I combined both in a throw pillow.

It was my first time printing on fabric with my printer and I absolutely love how it came out...I cannot wait to print some more stuff...Oh, the creative wheels are turning now...Can you hear them? Hee, Hee, Hee.

Wishing everyone a fantabulous and creative new week.

Happy Three Kings Day!

On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. Matthew 2:11

On this day we celebrate El Dia de los Tres Reyes Magos or The Three Kings Day. It's a festivity traditionally celebrated in Mexico and in many other Latin countries. Click here if you'd like to read a post I did last year about this holiday.

Feliz Dia de Reyes a todos.

Happy Three Kings Day everyone.

It's Raining Today...Yay!

Why am I so happy that it's raining today?...Well because I finally get to wear my brand new rain boots that my hubby gave me for Christmas!

Aren't they the cutest?

Can't wait to find a big puddle to jump in. Hee, hee, hee...
I feel like a little girl.

Happy Monday Everyone!
